Before there was Audi, there was Auto Union—four distinct companies, each with its own legacy and design language. For this series, I immersed myself in historical archives to reconstruct and celebrate the original logos of Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer—the four brands that would eventually form the iconic four rings. These weren’t just shirt graphics—they were a visual homage to each brand’s independent spirit. Each design was treated as a standalone identity, while also reinforcing the collective history that shaped Audi’s DNA. Debuted as part of the Audi Collection summer launch, June 2019. Results: – $63,100 in total sales (2019–2021) – Sold out in first hour of release – 965 shirts and over $30,000 sold in first month – Exceeded internal yearly SKU sales goals by 6x – Expanded into hats and accessories after initial success By giving each brand the space to shine individually, this project offered fans a deeper, more meaningful connection to the roots of the four rings—history you can wear.
